Enrollment Information

Bigs in Schools program eligibility:

• Must be at least 15 years old or a sophomore in high school
• Must provide parental reference as well as at least one school reference if still in high school.
• Must complete paperwork for background check
• Must sign up for one year of service
• Must be able to visit your "Little" weekly (providing your own transportation)
• Must be an area resident for at least three months
• Must spend one hour per week with your "Little" on-site at a designated elementary school or Boys & Girls Club

 Community-based eligibility:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must sign up for one year of service
• Must be an area resident for at least three months
• Must agree to visit with your "Little" on average three times a month (providing your own transportation)
• Must complete national background screening. Must not have been convicted of a felony charge in past 10 years. Background check results will be evaluated by a screening committee for approval.
• Must have acceptable driving record and provide a copy of drivers license and auto insurance card. Must not have had more than 12 points in past 7 years on driving record in order to be eligible for the community-based program. Must not have had had a DUI conviction in the past 5 years to be eligible for the community-based program.
